it all started over a conversation on why it is so hard to make friends in klang valley even harder to get decent gaymen in klang valley. the conversation lead to story of freaks. a few of friends label some of the guy they met as a freaks. i dare not say anything about these freaks because i did not see their action nor behaviour, just story telling.
anyhow, these freaks (let use this term for this entry), as story by my good friend come in different characters. and all of this freaks he met via different sources, gay-dating web page, chat room, and even some introduce by friends.
what they do until they are labeled as a freaks?
some freaks promised to meet him, and then they cancel last minutes with invalid reason. or even worse, some agreed to meet up somewhere and turn up but they are hiding behind tree because too scare to meet him. when he called, phone unanswered! called again, guess the phone was never unanswered!
some will bug him through the phone. no matter what day/night/time/hours they will call/text him to check on him, asking how is he doing (although they asked earlier on) etc although they met only once over a coffee. after a while, they quiet and call/text never got through.
some freaks are just screwed up. they met, went out couple of times; movies, coffee, introduction of each other to their friends and dinner a few times in a week. on the 2nd month, suddenly no call, texts or emails. message on msn, no reply. then few days later message come, 'i am seeing someone else. thanks'. no sorry, but only thanks! no reason, just thanks!
my good friend said 'ernie, did u see banner on me said i HEART freaks?'
there are more stories about this freaks incident, but why is this happen?
we have come to conclusion that this more or less contributed by the environment that these freaks grew up in. again, the issue of being closeted are in the conversation, but how far can you hide from everyone if you are fucking half of gaymen in klang valley, think again! another factor that we discuss is fear of rejection. they can't tolerate rejection and thus the hiding behind the tree is the only way. think again!
there are more factors if we want to discuss about it, but we did not cos we do not want to order anymore drinks and it's almost 2 am, so we called the night off!
