i was attending the dinner hosted by belgium's embassy last friday. the event showcasing the best of belgium; from food, theatre, fashion, music and of cos the food.
the event held at klcc convention centre, kuala lumpur. to create the 'feel' of belgium, the organizer has erected 5 massive picture of belgium national heritage buildings and an impressive stage of sound and lights (kudos to jalakx team for this).
anyhow, the highlight of the night of cos the food. below is the picture of the food that i took. i have other picture but yet to be downloaded. i'll posted some later.

terrine of duck liver cured in a crust of spiced bread, confit of squash, prunes and orange ring with ginger, coulis of liege syrup
fillet of mackerel with panfried green asparagus in white butter and broth of mortroux mushroom
chicken breast stuffed with fresh herbs and shallots, minced carrots and courgettes, drizzled with stock of accacia honey and apple vinegar of dalhem
callebout chocolate fondant with crushed pistachios, wepion strawberry coulis, english cream and vanilla chips
