mamma mia! love is in the air...

mamma_mia

managed to catch mamma mia! on big screen over the weekend. not going to mention about what is all about, because you all have read about it unless you are from planet zartok, please click here.

anyhow, the movie is one of the MUST watch on my list for this year and boy, how disappointed i am with the movie. it could do better than what they are produce (c'mon mr & mrs hanks - you can do better i bet). however, kudos to ABBA for the fun and lovable music, so thank you for the music, the song i am singing (literally lip sync throughout the whole movie).

other note, casting wise.
meryl streep - a big star but it was a stiff performance doll, chop, chop, next!
pierce brosnan - if you have played bond, doesn't mean you have persona. still stiff with bad singing.
colin firth - i think he will be a good to play lead role instead of the above, but then again.. anyways, lovable character colin, very spontaneous.
stellan skarsgard - not much comments on his character except the tattoo looks cool on his butt cheeks.
amanda seyfried - a right casting (finally).
julie walters - god, i feel tired watching her jumping and boogeying and still she has the energy. where did she got it?
christine baranski - right casting to play her character. love her segment in 'does your mother know?' - girl, you rawk!

and last but not least, the hottie..
dominic cooper - hot! hot! hot! and being trained in musical, boy sure he can sing. next we see him in 'the duchess' along side with ralph fiennes and kiera knightley. *drool*

his rendition of 'lay all your love on me' is soo hot! definitely highlight of the movie for me beside meryl streep 'the winner takes it all'

very fishy business

my sister's house in pd (belong to the company that my bro in law work with)

i spent my weekend in port dickson now days as my sister and her family already relocating there. my mom is with them until this saturday before flying off back to bintulu.

nice weather in pd

last weekend was no extraordinary weekend. the weather is nice to sleep and everyone woke up late. we decided to head off to giant hypermarket in senawang, about 40 mins or so drive from my sister's house to buy groceries.

we entered the hypermarket and saw a pool of people crowding one corner. i have a peek and saw a banner.. 'Family Fish Spa'. the set up.. a pool with water and i saw people sitting on the side of it with their legs inside the pool. then i saw a fish swimming from one feet to other and understand that this is 'Fish Spa'. i was 'shocked' and 'curious'. i head on to the counter and asked, RM12 for 20 mins and RM16 for 30 mins.. hmmm! Kenko Spa charge RM38 for 30 mins!!

fishy fishy eat my dead fleshy

see! cheap kan?

hmmm.. market started to get spoilt and no more blue ocean for fishy business. sigh!

i was wondering how different this service compared with the lucrative fish spa. and i do not have any intention to try this at that time and at that area.

oh yeah, thanks ryonn for the fish spa voucher (from kenko). will use it one of the day..

turning japanese

had a crave for japanese food on sunday. contemplating to eat at genki sushi or sushi king. then adrian and myself decided to venture to somewhere to find any japanese gem around kota damansara area.

after drove around, we found this restaurant name 'okuchi' at kota damansara. pretty quiet and decent place. nice lighting. at first, we were skeptical about the restaurant as it was kinda empty (only 3 tables are there before us) however, we decided to give it a go.

it was a surprisingly nice food. the maki sushi is yummy. according to adrian, they are using autentic japanese rice.. i don't know about it, cos i kasi hentam and it taste soo good on my taste bud. we ordered gyoza as a other side dish. he had gyu niku udon/soba to maki sushi and myself had tempura to teppanyaki chicken. in the spirit of cny, they serve us mandarin oranges as a complimentary.

We were surprised to see how not so crowded the area. went to purchase tix is sooo easy. but mind you, the price is RM20/tix.

the (not so)mega updates..

two weekend ago...
the office warming party...
we went to mike's office warming party. pride studio have moved to new location and the office look fantastic. comfy and definitely anyone dream office. did not managed to take some pic.. but managed to snap some.

the shopping...
went to shopping frenzy with adrian sunday. we bought quite stuffs for ourselves and including a good deal from aussino. domesticated.. hell yeah!

the birthday..
after the shopping frenzy, as i promised him, i took him for a dinner for his birthday. at first i did not mentioned which place are we going. i tease him that am going to bring him to some unknown jinjang place.. hehehe. in the end, i i told him that we are going to italiannies. he wanted to go there for ages. we got outself table and begin to look at the menu. we had the calamari and salad and we order the angel pasta and fetuccini alfredo. it was an extremely filling dinner. then time to hit home.

last weekend...
mid week, the 'compaq' dearest decided that the time is up and it called his duty off. it bowed down after lending it years of service. that explain my disappearance for a while. on sat, after few days contemplating, adrian and i decided to scout for new replacment at low yatt as he is going to cut his hair. as usual, ivan came along as well cos both of them are hair cut buddy.

the new replacement..
we walk around floor and floor to scout. we have in mind to buy Toshiba due to its reputation and durability.adrian found what he like, a white one but it was way the budget. then, we stopped at one shop, and it has good offer. we negotiate the price further. and again we negotiate for freebies. the shop agreed on RM3499 with free upgrade to 1G memory, 1G kingston pendrive, headset, notebook lock and of cos the bag. good deal we think, that we cannot think but say yes! so new replacement has arrived.. sleek onyx blue and yes, it come with vista home basic.

the saturday night party...
we went to liquid 9th aniversary party. su yen came along with ivan. gotten there, we were surprise to see that 'a lot' of peeps downstair. then we gotten to know 'the disco' upstairs was closed for renovation. ummm.. so we sat outside and to our surprise (again) served with satay. so su yen, adrian and myself chow down a few. we all feel isolated and we all make way inside the club. we dance off and enjoyed the night. it was good down memory lane when dance to all the classic songs that make each liquid clubber went frenzy. towards the end, the generous people of liquid give vodka shot to each and every of the patron but with a catch, not with shot glass but through the bottle. the bar tender pour it directly into ur mouth.. awesome experience! and the night ended with 'i will survive' where everyone sing their heart out... the reason why we partaying hard is because this would be the last anniversary party at this club. in sept, they are moving to new premise to which will be revealed later. so expect hell a lot of party next coming weeks before the new liquid unveil.

the lazy sunday...
woke up
ikea/ikano
cineleisure to watch transformers but no tix available
went to borders
went to ttdi pasar malam
had dinner
watch harry potter and the goblet of fire

now am blogging.. how was yours?

weather: windy

my mind: drink water after click 'save & publish'

my joint: idon band

am listening to: kamu - nitrus

do you know what i did this weekend?

it was relatively quiet weekend for me. nothing much to do. i have no plans at all for saturday. on friday i slept at the early hours in the morning and wake up at 2 pm. freshen up and went to brunch. decided to visit digital mall pc fair. adrian and i gotten a new dvd burner and also external hard disk. came back and have a nap for a while before i go back to office to do something.

adrian went off early to his high school funeral. he saddened with what has happened and all i can do is comforting him. she died from caused by infections after brain surgery to removed tumor. and she only 29 yo and she has a great career ahead of her. but god love her more, took her away on thursday night.

i went back to office and then felt couldnt do anything, decided to walk to mamak to tapau food. went back, watching tv before start eating ma dinner. hit for a shower and then online. couple hrs later, internet connections is down and i ended up watching movie on hbo, cinemax and star movie. flippin channel to see what' on..

lie down on bed and g.k called me. we spoke on the phone and then after that i continued watching tv (antm rerun). i slept at 6 am!! my sleeping pattern totally fucked up. i woke up at 11 am and freshen up...
