my thoughts, it was something that i do not expected. i hated it @ first listen. too heavy synth and her voice are ummm.. what's wrong with this producer now days. where is the good old days song that actually has voice! uugghh.. however, i am downloading the remixes. see how good it is.

mamma mia! love is in the air...

managed to catch mamma mia! on big screen over the weekend. not going to mention about what is all about, because you all have read about it unless you are from planet zartok, please click here.

anyhow, the movie is one of the MUST watch on my list for this year and boy, how disappointed i am with the movie. it could do better than what they are produce (c'mon mr & mrs hanks - you can do better i bet). however, kudos to ABBA for the fun and lovable music, so thank you for the music, the song i am singing (literally lip sync throughout the whole movie).

other note, casting wise.
meryl streep - a big star but it was a stiff performance doll, chop, chop, next!
pierce brosnan - if you have played bond, doesn't mean you have persona. still stiff with bad singing.
colin firth - i think he will be a good to play lead role instead of the above, but then again.. anyways, lovable character colin, very spontaneous.
stellan skarsgard - not much comments on his character except the tattoo looks cool on his butt cheeks.
amanda seyfried - a right casting (finally).
julie walters - god, i feel tired watching her jumping and boogeying and still she has the energy. where did she got it?
christine baranski - right casting to play her character. love her segment in 'does your mother know?' - girl, you rawk!

and last but not least, the hottie..
dominic cooper - hot! hot! hot! and being trained in musical, boy sure he can sing. next we see him in 'the duchess' along side with ralph fiennes and kiera knightley. *drool*

his rendition of 'lay all your love on me' is soo hot! definitely highlight of the movie for me beside meryl streep 'the winner takes it all'

after touch blues, jazz, soul and funk in 'Back to Basics', she went into pop art era, with new sound of synth, heavy bass and acid rock (think goldfrapp's supernature sound). very eclectic indeed.

book yakking: the competitive power of constant creativity

last week was the last week of the month. as usual we have our k-sharing. k-sharing is knowledge sharing where each individual at work shared about a point in a book that can contribute to organization and personal development.

usually, i'll posted my rant about the book that i am reading. anyhow, last month am reading the competitive power of constant creativity by clay carr. a book that resemblance of what organization i am working now. written in early 90s, the book discuss how organization to work with technology, human capital, leadership and at the same time not sacrificing efficiency of an organization. also it does touch on the what are core qualities of creativity organization and how you can beat the super competitive market with constant creativity.

overall, a good book as a reference if you are looking into how to get the organization out of red ocean by innovating, creating and solving the problems before it get too deep.

back at work

the office was very quiet today, however, it was a hectic day too for me. a lot of things to attend to and a lot of things to settle.

with all that. i feel happy today and i don't know why. something make me smile, something make me laugh, something make me giggle and something make me laugh again. perhaps brand new week, new months and new day!

can't wait for friday as i'll be on leave.. for a day! yay!

finally, i've gotten my dell inspiron 1420. it comes with vista home premium and it is very DELL-icious! i simply love vista home premium interface, the aero function etc.

not counting sheep la..

past days, i have less sleep and to be exact 48 hrs (if i am not lost count). Team and myself is rushing for 'something' that is going to be launch this coming friday.

i have been doozing off a while from time to time at my workstation (during non working hours la). pretty crazy feeling but seen the work that we all have done, it is worth it.

anyhow, past days also, i have been listening to Ken Hirai's album and how much i still like his music altho it has been years. his voice and his urban pop/hip pop tempo does me good all the time.

the pain that was...

last night, i was happily eating nasi goreng tom yam at one of my fav store across of my office. it was such a nice dinner 'pekena' with 'tea-o-ais'. then, once am heading home couple of hours later, i am feeling drowsy and have the urge to throw up. not pleasant feeling.

i woke up at 4 am to go to toilet to vomit and since then, it was regular trip until 7 am. i was tired and drowsy. i called in half day to rest and i was in and out from the toilet non stop out from 'front' and 'back'. it was painful.

by noon, the pain and urge of throw up has gone, but fever kick in. i told myself, i don't care, i'll need to go back to the office. i popped panadol actifast and while working in the aircond studios, i was sweating like hell.

but right now, am ok (i guess). i wan to zzzz...
